The Parkes Library Refurbishment included a soft refurbishment of all areas and a restructure of internal working spaces including a staff office space, children’s breakout area, bathroom and storage upgrades. Two structural additions were included in the works one to the east which mirrored the existing fabric of the existing library using brick veneer traditional construction and another on the western side constructed of structural steel portal framing introducing a more modern style of finishes.
External Finishes included exposed aggregate pathways, additional kerb, guttering, parking, retaining walls, feature screening, irrigation and an array of plantings.
