The Cooke Park Pavilion is a multi-purpose function centre. It can be used for a variety of functions and events, subject to capacity requirements and suitability. The facility incorporates a flexible design to enable stage performances (e.g. theatre, music concerts, dance performances etc.) as well as a range of other local and regional events such as business events and conferences, celebrations, weddings, meetings for clubs and community groups as well as dinner and lunch functions.
The construction techniques incorporated a sub floor block work labyrinth that was designed to cool incoming air as well as support a suspended slab. Portal frame structure was installed to support an aluminium clad Solidal system with 3 dimensional shapes incorporated into the design. Internal finishes consisted of polished concrete, acoustic ceilings and tiled amenities for the facility users. External landscaping included recycled hardwood structures, stainless lattice, shade sails, off form concrete, paving, streetscaping, irrigation and plantings. Major service upgrades were included within the scope of works.
